New AutoPay Feature

In the latest StudioCloud update, version 3.1.197, our team has released the latest integration feature with Merchant Warehouse called StudioCloud AutoPay.  This is available to any StudioCloud accounts that have a Merchant Warehouse account setup in StudioCloud.  This feature allows you to set a default credit card for your clients and then to have StudioCloud automatically process payments due on the payment due deadline.

We have put together a support article to help you get started with this new feature which is available here:

When StudioCloud AutoPay processes a payment your clients will receive a message.  Currently this message is not customizable.  It will contain the subject line "Your Payment To YOUR_BUSINESS_NAME" and a simple message of "A payment of $AMOUNT was successfully processed for invoice #INVOICE_NUMBER for CLIENT NAME on DATE"

You will also receive an email containing a summary of all of the payments that were processed each day.  It will contain a similar message for each payment but the text could be different if the payment was declined.

Also, if the payment is successful then StudioCloud will automatically convert the Payment Due to a Payment and transfer it to Bookkeeping.

New Routing Features

StudioCloud has recently released new routing features which are available in the latest major release. The new features let you do the following:

  • Map the driving directions for multiple clients at once
  • Map the driving directions for multiple on location appointments at once
  • Map the driving directions for multiple invoices at once

CloudForms In Open Beta

NOTE: The CloudForms has completed the open beta and customers can now subscribe to it.

StudioCloud is excited to announce that CloudForms is now in open beta for all StudioCloud users to use.

CloudForms includes the ability to create online questionnaires and/or customized website contact us forms. In addition, CloudForms also includes the ability to have contracts that are generated in StudioCloud to be esigned by a customer over email. The forms and contracts are also compatible with iPhones,  iPads, Android phones and tablets.

Both of the above samples are included in the samples tab in the form manager. They are both customizable as well.

Back in December we announced that StudioCloud had partnered with to provide quality touchup to our customers.  So far we have had fantastic feedback from those users that have switched to but we have had some feedback.  The feedback that we received is that our customers wanted to continue submitting touchup orders directly through StudioCloud.  So we have been working hard with to switch our CloudTouchup interface over to the service.  This integration was made available in the latest update.

To get started with your account use the following steps:
  1. Login to the StudioCloud program, but make sure you have the latest update
  2. Go to the Cloud Services component
  3. Click on the Retouchup tab
    1. If you already have a account then no problem.  Go ahead and skip to step 7.
  4. Click the Manage button
  5. Click the Create Account. First Retouch Free! button
  6. Fill out the form to setup your new account
  7. Click the Retouchup API Key button
  8. Click the Get API Key button
  9. Enter your username and password and click the Save button
    1. This will contact directly to get your API Key and will put that key in the form for you
  10. Click the Save button
After you follow all of those steps your are ready to go.  To get started click the Retouchup Manager button and submit your first order.

Product Changes in the Invoice

With the most recent release of StudioCloud there were quite a few updates and changes to StudioCloud.  For a summary of the changes made please see the labs page 

One of the changes that was made affects how the available products, services, and packages are displayed when creating or editing an invoice.  A screenshot is available below to give you an idea of what the new product list looks like.

As you can see in this screen shot there is no longer an option in the list to click on a header and view only the products, services, or packages but rather the default is to "View All Items" which means that products, services, and packages are displayed together.  To distinguish between products, services, and packages when you view them together a [P] has been put in front of product name and a [S] has been put in front of service name.  Packages do not include any notation in front of the name. 

You can change which products, services and packages are visible by changing the price list in the combo box at the bottom of the table.  By default "All Products/Services" are displayed.

At the top of the products table is a combo box that says "View All Items" by default.  If you want to view only products, services, or packages you can do that by changing what is selected in that combo box.

One last thing to make note of is that if you hover your mouse over an item in this list you will get more details including the full description in  a tooltip and you can also still search for a product, service, or package using the search box at the top.

All of these changes were made to accommodate the QTY field that has been added in to this table.  The QTY field is for the inventory management component and we will have more on this in a future post.

StudioCloud App in Amazon App Store

We are very happy to announce that the StudioCloud Mobile Business Manager app is now available on the Amazon App Store for Android devices!  This means that you can now download it to your Kindle Fire or Kindle Fire HD.  You can find the app at the following link:

The app is called "StudioCloud Business Manager HD".  For those that have non-Amazon Android devices this is the same app that is available on Google Play.  In addition, this is a completely new app and not an upgrade to the app previously available on the Amazon App Store.  As a result, you will need to uninstall the previous version and install this new app.

The app includes the following functionality:

  • Client Management
  • Prospective Client (leads) Management
  • Graphical Calendar
  • Graphical Scheduler
  • Agenda
  • Invoicing
  • Project and Task Management
  • Time Tracking

1 GB is $0.00 per GB per Month (It's Free)
2 GB to 10 GB is $0.25 per GB per Month
11 GB to 100 GB is $0.20 per GB per Month
100 GB to 1024 GB (1 TB) is $0.15 per GB per Month
Over 1024 GB (1 TB) is $0.10 per GB per Month
